Code of Conduct

Camper Rules

- Arrive with a positive attitude and participate fully in camp activities.

- Follow all counselor and staff instructions.

- Stay with assigned counselor and group at all times.

- Treat other campers and staff with respect in words and actions.

- Use appropriate language at all times (no profanity, threats, or slurs).

- Keep my hands, feet, and objects to myself.

- Respect camp property and others’ belongings.

- Participate safely during all activities and transitions.

- Keep all personal electronics off and stored during camp hours (if there is an emergency, camp staff will be happy to allow them to use a phone and will pass on any urgent messages from home to campers)

Zero Tolerance Behaviors (Immediate Dismissal)*

- Any physical aggression (hitting, kicking, pushing, punching, wrestling, or throwing objects)

- Threats of violence or serious harm

- Bullying, harassment, or intimidation

- Possession or use of weapons, alcohol, illegal drugs, vaping/smoking materials, lighters, or matches

- Leaving camp property without permission

*Parents/guardians must pick up their camper within one hour of notification. No refunds are issued for disciplinary removals.

Behavior Management

Unless immediate dismissal is required, the Summit Math and Code Camp follows a three-strike policy:


  1. Strike One – verbal warning and parent notification;

  2. Strike Two – camper sent home for the day and conference with the Camp Director;

  3. Strike Three – conference with Camp Director(s) and possible removal from camp.


Note that camp administration may skip steps based on severity.
